Firecoat walked on in silence waiting, biding his time. Once he knew they were out of ear shot of Ceasefire and Amai he stopped. He stood looking at the swift sunrise, his ears relaxed back and his body now saying he was calm but that's all. Without turning, moving or, it seemed, even breathing he spoke in his soft Scottish voice. "Why?" Was all that came, soft, low and calm.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ceasefire returned her smile and stood, with a little shake of his body. He pawed softly at her face and waged his tail around in a playful manner, hoping to cheer his sister up with a little play. He jumped in the air then spun around like a little pup. He looked so goofy it would be hard for her to keep a straight face.

Zaka slowly came to a stop and sank back onto her haunches, her eyes never meeting her mates. As he spoke she did not shudder no more as his voice sounded like the walk had calmed down somewhat. As she began too speak her eyes still never met those of her mates. "It was a dark night and Amai had gone back too our kill to finish it off and when she did not return to our den i went in search of her" Her amber oculars fought hard too not cry as she paused. "I found her in a clearing with a male about too take her and when he looked in my direction a twisted smile was on his kissers and it clicked that I knew him.." She paused for a moment to finally bring her gaze too meet those of her mates "Mikalai had wanted me before I had disappered and came here and met you, I had to plead with him too take me instead of our daughter..." Her voice trailed off as her gaze went too the sky for a moment before continuing "It took me awhile, but I somehow managed too save our angel from having too deal with him, and he will be back when i have the whelps, he promised me he would be..." As the femora finished her story a small sigh escaped her maw as she realized everything that was happening. She could only hope her mate would understand and not take anything out on her. She had done it out of love for their daughter and she hated that she had too make that decision, but again she had too do it. Her motherly instincts had kicked in as soon as she had stumbled across their daughter and Mikalai....She sighed again and waited for him too speak, that was all the fatale could do, was wait.

Firecoat listened with no sound or movement made, he only stood. When she was done and fell silent he moved, only then could she see anything upon him. His eyes lowered from the sun and slowly turned back toward where their pups were. He looked there for a long time before he slowly walked away from Zaka toward Ebony lands. Now was a time to think not act and his body told her to stay.

Zaka moved too follow her mate, but she could feel him not wanting her too follow him, instead she sank back onto her haunches, her amber orbs watching him leave. He was headed for Ebony Shadows and the femme was slightly unsure as too why he wanted too go there. Grave was not the kind of Alpha that her mate should want anything too do with. The Alphena simply sighed and waited for him too return, there was nothing else she could do.

Firecoat moved slowly on toward the border, his head hung. "For our daughter." He kept saying over and over as he walked on. He came to the border and stopped the wind blowing his scent away over the evil lands before him. The no-wolf-zone between his lands and Grave's, in fact between all wolf lands, kept the alpha from fighting all the time. And there between their lands pray animals could be safe from the wolves and grow in numbers. Firecoat stood there watching a small group of deer graze in the dried river bed.

Zakas ambver orbs watched her mate leave the clearing and she sighed softly wondering where he was going. His body language told the Alphena not too follow him as that might be a very bad idea. She sighed again and rose off her haunches and made her way back too her children.
As soon as they came back into her sight a smile lit her angelic features and she lightly bounded too their sides, watching them catch up and such, she sank back onto her haunches and simply watched them, she knew it would not be long before there would be more family members and that somewhat excited her, the question was should she be afraid of Mikalai and would he let her raise their whelps?? So many questions like that had formed in her mind for so long and as her due date grew closer she knew there would be more...

Black Rose came off the Wind Runners' mountains and down into Moonlight wind lands. Crossing borders was something only lone wolves did not wolves of a pack like Rose. She jumped into a run and covered moonlight ground fast as she made her way to the scent of Firecoat's den site. She soon came upon the three wolves there and noted that one was the alpha female. Black Rose had not scented her here for some time but was happy to meet up with her again. So Rose lowered her tail and slightly lowered her body as she neared the three wolves and called softly to them that she was here.~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ceasefire smiled as his mother came back and gave her a short lick to her muzzle. He then saw a black form coming out of the buffalo grass and after Black Rose called to him Ceasefire called back to her. He wanted to run up and greet his friend but knew that his mother would need to see that she was alright again since Zaka had not seen Black Rose in some time.[/color] ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Firecoat stood there at the border for some time before he called to Grave. Fire gave his name and the number of his pack, which wolves did now and then when at borders. He waited and listened for some time before Grave called back with his name and the number two. Fire sighed and turned from the border back toward his mate and pups at the den. He walked slow, his head still hung and he would not make it back to them before the storm, that Black Rose had left in Wind Runners lands settled over Moonlight.

Zakas muzzle picked up on the familiar scent of Black Rose and a small smile slid into place on her maw as she saw the fatale that had come from Runners. She watched her, her amber orbs holding curiousity as too why she was moving so slowly towards her and her whelps. She gave a small yip of welcome too her before raising onto all fours too greet her guest. She could hear Fire communicating with Grave off into the distance and could feel the last of the winter storms moving in slowly.
The alphena looked too her two children and parted her maw too speak to them while waiting for Rose to speak, "You two better head inside, the storm will hit soon" A small smile still played onto her angelic feautres as she turned her attention back too Rose, her expression no longer curiousity about why she was so slow, but curious as too why she were here, she parted her kissers to speak once more " Hello Rose, so nice too see you again, what brings you onto Moonlight land?" She still held a smile and her tail firmly held the alphena stance as did her form as she waited for her too speak her business.
***
Amai looked too her mother, her own amber orbs holding curiousity, but not about Rose, but why her mother would want her and Cease too go into the den. She simply sighed and looked too her brother "We better head inside, mother looks like she has something too attend too" She nodded her tiara too her mother before raising onto all fours and making her way inside the den in which she had been concieved and born in. She found a spot that she knew had too be her fathers and curled up slowly, waiting for her brother and perhaps her parents too join her.

Black Rose jumped to a run and stopped next to Zaka. Her eyes turned over her shoulder to see the coming storm that she had just missed in her own pack lands. "I have just come to see my friends before the winter settles over the lands for its full seven months. And to let you know own pack has grow by two." Black Rose was happy that the pack had grow before winter's snow covered the lands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ooc: First storms not last ones. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ceasefire mumbled then followed after his sister. He thought that he was a little told to be told to hid from a storm. He curled up next to Amai and sighed before he slowly slipped into a sleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Firecoat topped the hill above the dens just as a whirl of white cold came down upon the Moonlight lands. He just stood there thinking still as the snow covered the land quickly in a blanket of white.

Zaka looked too the fellow alphena and gave a simple smile. Her gaze was taken away from roses obsidian form as the sight of her mate came into view. The snow swirling around him and them as well. She yipped softly too him, hoping maybe his walk had allowed him too cool down. She continued too smile and wait for him to join her and their guest.
[[ooc: sorry so short, a little scatterbrained today and Zaka not wanting too cooperate. ::Sigh:: sorry I thought it was almost spring time since that is when the whelps are born usually...]]

ooc: You are going to hate me for this but. Black Rose is not the alpha of runners, Timber Vine is. But lets make it about half way through winter after all wolves tend to be pregnet[sp?] in the winter time and then have them come spring, so that will work if we move time up a little and say winters half over.

Black Rose turned and saw the red form of the alpha male standing in the almost blinding snow. She started to smile but the look upon the male's face was sadly grim and cold. She bowed to Zaka and found the den she had often used while here. For a short time Black Rose almost thought she would be able to take the rank of alpha female of this pack and be Firecoat's mate since Zaka had left. But now she was back and Rose knew to never allow anyone to know what she was pushing for. She hid in the den till the two storms passed.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fire coat heard the soft voice of his mate and for a moment his heart leapt and his body shook with the feeling of running to her. But his mind and her words made his body stay. He watched her but could not bring himself to move to her. Even though he understood why she had done it, it still hurt. And then what would he do with the offspring when they came in only a few short weeks? He sighed and shuttered as the show and wind dropped the temp to well below 0 degrees. The cold, and lack of breathing air with the powerful wind, forced him with stiff legs to move slowly towards the den and her.

Zaka simply smiled too Rose while she went her seperate way. She watched her mate with her amber oculars, not moving though the snow was starting too pick up. While she thought she were still visible too him she gave him a tired smile and moved into the warmths of the den. Her two children were sleeping soundlessy while she lay awake. The sounds from the outside of the den soothed her, but not enough for her too sleep. The pups would be coming in just a few short weeks and with that, Mikalai. She shuddered softly, but knew if she gave him what he desired he would leave, or at least she hoped he would. There was no telling what the dark prince would do.
The alphena sighed softly and let her mind wander. There was nothing else the fatale could do and that scared her that she would have too give up her whelps, but she knew that that was the only way too ensure that her family would be safe here and she only hoped that he would not return too her next season. She knew next season her mate would want whelps of their own and she would give him that, especially since he was having too go through this. She could only hope that he would forgive her and that everything would be okay with them and their family....
[[ooc: a little crappy, but i tried...]]

Firecoat stiffly stepped down the hill and slipped into the den. He lingered a moment at the entrance then moved down the tunnel to the large hollow at the end. He looked over the three laying there but kept the smile from his ash lips. He moved to the other side of Amai and Ceasefire and lay there, away from Zaka. He gave a soft sigh as he rested his head behind their bodies out of view of Zaka. His mind would not let him sleep, he could only think and that was tearing him apart. He understood why she had done it and told himself that he could forgive her, but his heart wouldn't. How would he move past the fact that she was carrying some other male's pups? And what would he do with them once they came? Should he kill them? He shook his head a bit. That would not work, Zaka would love them it was how a mother wolf was. Would the father come for them and if so should Firecoat give them up to him? Firecoat gave another sigh and nuzzled his nose into Amai's side as the temp began to drop.
